Amy Froiland-Parada, LICSW

*Currently accepting new clients, Ages 16+

Amy believes the therapeutic relationship is sacred and approaches her work with a deep sense of honor and responsibility. She holds the perspective that people show up as their most authentic selves when they are supported, empowered, and healed from past wounds. Amy works from the belief that everyone has the capacity to know and love their true self; with the right tools and a safe, supportive space, meaningful change is possible.

Amy leads with compassion, authenticity, and humility—and often a touch of humor. She sees her role as a collaborative partner in the therapy process, always honoring that the client is the true expert of their own experience. Her goal is to build trust and offer support in the areas that need to be seen, understood, and healed.

Amy is trained in EMDR and has earned a certification from The Institute for Creative Mindfulness. She has also completed a 40-hour Sexual Assault Advocacy training and has worked extensively with survivors of sexual violence across all age groups. Her clinical experience includes working with clients facing PTSD, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and challenges stemming from relational and systemic dynamics that impact identity, safety, and empowerment.

She is open and welcoming to clients from all spiritual and religious backgrounds. She recognizes that for many, spirituality and faith communities can be deeply restorative, while for others, they may have caused harm. Amy’s focus is always on supporting what feels most safe and meaningful to her clients. She is interested in working with individuals of all genders who are navigating the impacts of trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational or systemic stressors.

Amy is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and affirming space for all clients on their path toward healing and self-discovery.
